Bargain Hunters Bliss Blacktown Markets first opened in 1994 and has been open every Sunday ever since. Many now consider it a local institution. A usually barren drive-in theatre comes alive on Sundays with hundreds of stalls and thousands of shoppers making the pilgrimage in the hunt for the perfect bargain. A mixture of local characters amongst the garage sales, second hand / antique dealers, farmers, fruiterers and with live music most Sundays makes for a great atmosphere. If you're local, Blacktown Markets is a 5 minute drive from the centre of Blacktown. If you're from out of town, Blacktown Markets is only half an hour from the city along the M4 highway. With Featherdale Wildlife Park, Eastern Creek Raceway and the Prospect Reservour neaby, why not get amongst it and make a day of it. |
